- Open zends.org/app in Chrome.
- Tap the three-dot menu, then Install app or Install and create shortcut → Install. Some versions show Add to Home screen.
- Confirm, then open the ZENDS icon on your Home Screen.
iPhone · Safari
- Open zends.org/app in Safari.
- Tap Share → Add to Home Screen.
- Keep Open as Web App on if shown, then tap Add.
Sign in from the ZENDS icon if asked. Closing the app does not sign you out. Sessions can expire, or end when you log out or clear website data.
Windows Beta is unsigned. Windows may warn or block installation. Updates are manual for now; automatic updates are not enabled.

A few things to know.
How private are Private chats?
Your six-digit MPIN hides selected chats from your inbox and notifications and protects the local cache. Chats lock when you leave ZENDS or after five minutes of inactivity. This is an account privacy lock, not end-to-end encryption. No acknowledgement is required to use Private chats.
Can the ZENDS owner review messages?
The verified owner can review eligible server-stored conversations, including MPIN-hidden chats, to investigate abuse. Existing acknowledgement requirements still apply; reading this FAQ does not grant access or record agreement. Staff access is limited to assigned reports and submitted evidence. Reviews require a reason and an audit record. Passwords, MPINs and login codes are not exposed by the reader. See the privacy information for details.
How do I get started?
Choose Log in or Open ZENDS. Verify your phone number with an SMS code, then add your name to start chatting.
Will ZENDS work on Windows, Mac and Linux?
Windows Beta is available for 64-bit Windows 10 and 11. macOS (including MacBook) and Linux versions are planned. The Windows beta is unsigned and uses manual updates.
Can I choose light or dark mode?
Yes. The proposed app supports Light, Dark and Follow system. Use the appearance button at the top to choose Light, Dark or Follow system.
